Dear students, an event dedicated to The International Day of the Portuguese Language will be held on May 4, organized by The University of Georgia, the Embassy of Brazil in Georgia and Camões Portuguese Language Institute centre.

 Within the activities of the event, the professor of the University of Lisbon, Ennes Ferreira, will give a lecture on the topic: "Portugal in Europe and in the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries and the role of the Portuguese language", as well as presentation of the translation of two novels by the Brazilian writer Claris Lispector - "The Hour of the Star" and "Near to the Wild Heart". Georgian translation by Nino Lortkipanidze.

 The event will be opened by the Ambassador of Brazil to Georgia, Mr. Osvaldo Biato Jr. and the Rector of the University of Georgia, Mr. Konstantine Topuria.
