On January 21, the University of Georgia invites you to the presentation of the book “Local Self-Government in Georgia” by Ana Pirtskhalashvili and Besik Loladze
The event will also feature a panel discussion on the topic:the role and purpose of local self-government in public administration.
The research presented in the book “Local Self-Government in Georgia” examines the evolution of local governance in Europe and Georgia, analyzes existing challenges, and outlines ways for their improvement. Notably, the study is based on normative, comparative legal, and analytical approaches, including an analysis of the European Charter of Local Self-Government and the case law of the Federal Republic of Germany. The research aims to support the improvement of the local self-government system in Georgia.
