Learning in Action: Student Simulation Laboratory

20 March 2026

The School of Social Sciences at the University of Georgia and the Georgian Charter of Journalistic Ethics announce student enrollment in the joint project:

“Learning in Action: Student Simulation Laboratory”

The aim of the project is to provide students of the BA programs in Journalism and Strategic Communications with relevant training on key topics, followed by a final stage involving role-based simulation exercises.

This teaching method is based on international experience and offers an additional and effective practical learning opportunity for future professionals. Within the Spring Semester 2026, students will have the opportunity to work in depth on issues such as media ethics, strategic communications, media self-regulation and regulation, as well as information search and processing.

The preparatory training sessions for the simulation exercises will be conducted by recognized practitioners in each field, giving participants a unique opportunity to gain additional knowledge beyond their academic coursework.

What you will gain from participating in the project:

  • Teamwork with students from different academic fields
  • In-depth training on professional topics
  • Award for the winning team
  • Participant certificate and real, professional experience
