European Public Health Week - 2026

1 May 2026

From May 4–8, the School of Health Sciences at the University of Georgia joins the European Public Health Week (EUPHW), initiated by the European Public Health Association, with a series of diverse activities. This annual international initiative aims to raise awareness about health issues, promote healthy lifestyles, and strengthen professional collaboration across countries.

The University of Georgia has been representing Georgia on this platform since 2019 and continues its active involvement. This year’s theme, “Investing in health and well-being for sustainable development,” highlights the crucial role of health in long-term societal progress.

Throughout the week, activities will include public lectures, school outreach events, knowledge sharing on international experiences, and professional discussions—reflecting a multi-sectoral approach that connects health with education, environment, and social policy.

Key topics include:

* The intersection of policy and public health

* Adolescent mental health in the digital age

* Combating health misinformation and promoting informed decision-making

* The future of healthcare and interprofessional collaboration

Date:  May 4–8

Location: the University of Georgia, School of Health Sciences, Kavtaradze street #21
