The Georgian, German and International Criminal Law Institute of the University of Georgia announces the selection of students for the Spring School: “Criminal Law and Human Rights” (Comparative Legal Analysis).
The thematic focus of the school includes: the significance of European Union law for Georgian criminal law, selected issues of criminal procedure, comparative analysis of German and Georgian judicial practice, and related topics.
The trainings will be conducted by Georgian and German experts. The working languages are German and Georgian, with consecutive interpretation provided.
The Head of the Spring School is Bachana Jishkariani, LL.M. (Munich).
The selection stage will take place from 27 February to 1 March 2026 in Telavi, at Hotel “Eskizi.”
Eligible to participate are students of law faculties of accredited higher education institutions in Georgia (Bachelor’s degree students who have completed at least four semesters; Master’s degree students at any stage of study).
Participation is free of charge.

Transcript of completed semesters (a scanned version or even a photo of an extract from the electronic database is acceptable)
Motivation letter (in Georgian or English, PDF format)
If necessary, additional interviews may be scheduled for applicants. Otherwise, the selection will be based on the submitted documents.
The deadline for submission of documents is 10 February 2026.

In the case of equal competitive qualifications, preference will be given to students who have not previously participated in similar projects organized by our Institute.
