For the first time in Georgia, ROCO Academy has been granted official representative status of the GENIUS Olympiad. The GENIUS Olympiad is an international educational competition that encourages young people to understand global environmental challenges and develop scientific, technological, and creative solutions.
With ROCO Academy’s support, Georgian students have participated individually since 2018. In 2025, a nationwide internal selection round will be held for the first time, organized by ROCO Academy and hosted by the University of Georgia.
The competition is open to students in grades 8–12 and is held in five categories: Coding, Artificial Intelligence, Science, Entrepreneurship, and Robotics. The deadline for pre-registration is January 25, and each student may participate in only one category.
Selected participants will compete in the national selection round in March at the University of Georgia. The winners will represent Georgia at the GENIUS Olympiad Global Finals in June in Rochester, USA.
