Blockchain is a decentralized system that allows the storage of electronic information not only on one, but many different locations. This means that the threat of losing and falsifying information while cyber-attack is minimized.
It is the list of continuously growing records the constituent decentralized blocks of which are interconnected and protected by using cryptography. Each block has a link with the previous one; it also has a timestamp and transaction data.
The University of Georgia is the first educational institution in Georgia which has established the Blockchain Laboratory where students have the opportunity to get in-depth knowledge and become experts of blockchain technology.
