Technical University of Munich - Mobility Direct Exchange Program in Germany

Description

We are pleased to announce the call for applications for Mobility Direct exchange program at the Technical University of Munich (Straubing Campus), Germany.

 

Selected students will study one semester at TUM (Spring Semester - 2024-2025 academic year)

Only students studying on the Bachelor’s Program of Business Administration are eligible for application.

 

During the exchange semester students do not cover any tuition costs at TUM, however students must cover the tuition costs of the credits that are recognized by the end of the exchange program at the University of Georgia.

The exchange program does not cover the following costs:

·        Travel and Visa costs

·        Daily expenses and accommodation costs

 

The student with the highest academic performance will receive accommodation scholarship - the University of Georgia will fully fund the accommodation fees.

 

*The following students can not apply:

·        Bachelor’s students currently studying on their 1st semester;

·        Bachelor’s or Master’s students for whom the Spring semester of the 2024-25 academic year will be the last semester of their studies;

·        Students whose student statuses are not active at the time of the application.

 

Study Offer

 

TUM offers the following courses for the Spring semester in the English language: Course Catalogue

 

 

After completion of the exchange semester the transfer of credits will be executed according to the UG’s credit system, meaning the number of credits of a transferred subjects will correspond to the number of credits assigned to the appropriate subjects at UG. Students do not pay any tuition fee to the host university; however the student must cover the cost of the recognized credits at the University of Georgia after completion of the exchange semester.

 

Accommodation

 

TUM does not offer its own student dormitory, however useful information regarding the housing in Straubing can be found on their webpage: https://www.cs.tum.de/prospective-students/housing/?lang=en

  

 

Students have a right to use a different accommodation form if they choose so.

 

Language Requirement

 

The students are able to study the courses in the English or German language during their exchange period. The students are required to submit a certificate of the English or German language CEFR B2 level proficiency (IELTS, TOEFL or other internationally recognized certificate).

The certificate must be valid at the time of application.

 

If the student does not have an internationally recognized certificate, she/he can attend the English language B2 examination. Details about the examination will be provided via MY UG messages.

 

Required Documents

 

The students must submit the following documents:

·        Motivation Letter

·        CV (Europass format - https://europa.eu/europass/en/create-europass-cv )

·        Reference letter from the appropriate School of UG (Please address the assistant of your school)

·        English language proficiency certificate* (CEFR B2 level valid at the time of applying)

·        Passport copy

·        Students currently studying on the 1st semester of the Master’s program, who have not completed their bachelor’s degree at the University of Georgia, must additionally submit the transcript of records of their bachelor’s studies in the English language

 

*Students who attend the English language exam and pass, do not need to submit any certificate for the English language.

Students will be evaluated based on the submitted documents and their academic performance. The student does not need to submit documentation for the academic performance criteria (except in cases when the student is on the first semester of master’s degree, see details in the previous section)

 

Selection of the students will be based on the competition between applicants.

 

The deadline for submission of the application is October 20th.
