Call for applications for Erasmus+ and Mobility Direct exchange programs at the Kaunas University of Technologies (Lithuania)

Students will study one semester at the Kufstein Tirol University (Fall Semester - 2021-2022 academic year)

Student may apply for both the Erasmus+ and Mobility Direct programs simultaneously.

The fall semester at the Kaunas University will last from September 2021 till January 2022.

Mobility Direct Program

Students studying on the following faculties/programs may apply:

• Students of the School of Business and Administrative Studies
• Students of the School of Science and Technologies

During the exchange semester students do not cover any tuition costs at the Kaunas University, however students must cover the tuition costs of the credits that are recognized by the end of the exchange program at the University of Georgia.

The exchange program does not include:

• Travel and Visa costs
•  
• Daily expenses and accommodation costs

Average accommodation costs – 60-140 EUR

In case of high academic performance, the University of Georgia fully funds the accommodation fees.

Erasmus+ Program

Students studying on the following faculties/programs may apply:

• Students of the School of Business and Administrative Studies
• Students of the School of Science and Technologies

The exchange program fully funds:

• Travel costs
• Monthly scholarship
• Tuition costs

*The following students can not apply (for neither Erasmus nor Mobility Direct programs):

• Bachelor’s students currently studying on their 1^st semester
• Bachelor’s or Master’s students for whom the fall semester of the 2021-22 academic year will be the last semester of their studies.
• Students whose student statuses are not active at the time of the application

After completion of the exchange semester the transfer of credits will be executed according to the UG’s credit system, meaning the number of credits of a transferred subjects will correspond to the number of credits assigned to the appropriate subjects at UG. For the Mobility Direct Program the students do not pay any tuition fee to the host university, however the student must cover the cost of the recognized credits at the University of Georgia after completion of the exchange semester. For the Erasmus+ program student do not pay the tuition fee for the recognized credits.

Accommodation

The Kaunas University offers the students its student housing (monthly rent 60-140 EUR). Detailed information about housing can be found here: https://admissions.ktu.edu/welcome-week/#accommodation

Students are free to seek out any other form of accommodation on their own.

Language Requirement

The students are able to study the courses in the English language during their exchange period. The students are required to submit a certificate of the English language CEFR B2 level proficiency (IELTS, TOEFL or other internationally recognized certificate).

The certificate must be valid at the time of application.

The students must submit the following documents:

• Motivation Letter
• CV (Europass format - https://europa.eu/europass/eportfolio/screen/cv-editor?lang=en)
• Reference letter from the appropriate School of UG (Please address the assistant of your school)
• English language proficiency certificate
• Passport

The student must submit the documents before April 27^th  on the following email address:  exchange@ug.edu.ge

In case the student is applying for both Erasmus+ and Mobility Direct programs, the applications must be submitted via separate emails.

Please indicate the following in the subject of the email:

• For the Erasmus+ program: “Kaunas Exchange Program”
•  
• For the Mobility Direct program: “Kaunas Mobility Direct Program”

All required documents must be attached to the same email.
