On September 28, at the Sheraton Grand Metechi Palace, the University of Georgia held the 2025 Graduation Ceremony.

Within the framework of the event, nearly six hundred graduates of all three academic levels celebrated the completion of their studies together. The graduates were addressed with congratulatory speeches by the Rector and the President of the University. It is noteworthy that Konstantine Topuria read out a congratulatory letter from Luka Jabuа, a prisoner of conscience and honorary guest speaker: “I believe that you will become honest and conscientious judges, lawyers, politicians, and professional representatives in all other fields of this country.” — Luka Jabuа.

During the ceremony, as per tradition, students with the highest GPAs were recognized and awarded. Among them were:

* Mariam Beridze, Master’s, Business Administration program;

* Teona Tavdishvili, Ph.D., Business Administration program;

* Alina Pervez Razak, Bachelor’s, Medicine program.

It is also noteworthy that at the graduation ceremony, the title of Honorary Doctor of the University of Georgia was awarded to Georgian philologist, politician, and translator — Levan Berdzenishvili, who congratulated the graduates and wished them success in their professional careers.

At the end of the event, the evening surprise for the graduates was a performance by Georgian musician and one of the most popular representatives of contemporary pop music, singer Stephane Mgebrishvili.
