In 2025, the TOLES Autumn Group successfully completed an intensive ten-week Higher Level certification course, which included diagnostic individual assessments, multiple mock examinations, and comprehensive course materials, ensuring the maximum enhancement and deepening of participants’ knowledge and skills in both oral and written legal communication throughout the program.
All participants of the current course successfully achieved a Band 1 (Excellent) result on the international TOLES Higher Level legal English certification exam, clearly demonstrating their acquisition and strengthening of high-level professional legal English skills.
It is noteworthy that the University of Georgia’s TOLES Legal English Center was the first in the Caucasus region to receive international authorization in 2015. The Center offers several preparatory legal English courses and globally recognized TOLES certification exams each year at the Foundation, Higher, and Advanced levels.
The course is led by a highly qualified TOLES-certified trainer, lecturer at the School of Law — Tsira Chorgoliani — who has many years of experience in teaching legal English and academic/legal writing. It is also noteworthy that each semester the University fully covers the TOLES exam fee for three students from the School of Law who demonstrate outstanding academic performance.
