On March 25, a representative meeting with Bank of Georgia was held at the University of Georgia for students.
The aim of the meeting was to share career opportunities available at the Bank of Georgia, as well as professional development paths for students. Representatives discussed the conditions and products the bank offers to its potential employees.
The meeting also covered both theoretical and practical advice to simplify the job search process. In addition, representatives — Ethuna Kobalia (Head of Recruitment for Mass and Operational Positions) and Tamar Chanturashvili (Head of Communications Training and Development) — discussed the internal work specifics and challenges of the Bank of Georgia as an organization.
“I would like to emphasize that this educational activity, which involves individual visits to universities in cooperation with them, is the first of its kind, and we started with the University of Georgia. On the one hand, this process is new for us as well, which is why we selected this university, as we already have a strong partnership through various projects. Along with providing students with information about the Bank of Georgia, we offered them the opportunity to personally explore current vacancies and, if interested, to get involved in the recruitment process through us. This kind of employment forum is much more substantive, as the company presents itself and then promptly engages interested candidates.” Tamar Chanturashvili, Head of Communications Training and Development, Bank of Georgia
It is worth noting that the cooperation between the University of Georgia and the Bank of Georgia is multifaceted. In addition to sharing career opportunities, it also includes offering students additional scholarship opportunities, among which several high-achieving students from the University of Georgia are already beneficiaries.
