On May 15, at the University of Georgia, a workshop titled “Modern Approaches and the Use of Digital Resources in Teaching History” was held within the framework of a unified project for teachers.
The workshop aimed to introduce history teachers to modern pedagogical approaches and the effective use of digital resources in history education. Participants discussed interactive teaching strategies, critical thinking-oriented methods, and the growing role of AI technologies in modern education.
The meeting covered four key topics: modern teaching approaches, digital tools in history education, experience sharing, and assessment. The workshop was moderated by Tsira Chikvaidze, who spoke with teachers about current challenges and innovative practices that simplify and improve the teaching process.
Special guests included Manana Sanadze and Giuli Alasania, who shared their professional experiences and encouraged teachers to participate in future research projects.
At the end of the workshop, Ms. Sanadze presented participants with the newly published book “The History of Russian Occupation in Georgia.”
