The University of Georgia continues cooperation within the Fogarty Clean Air Research and Education (CARE) program. The project is a strategic collaboration between the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health (NCDC) of Georgia, the National Environmental Agency, Emory and George Washington Universities.
Goal of the project is to develop the capacity to conduct research in the field of non-communicable diseases and environmental health in Georgia through trainings, education and practice. 12 doctoral students have been selected within the project.
On January 31, in the Institute of Global and European Health Education and Research" of the School of Health Sciences, doctoral students of the Public Health Doctoral Program of the University of Georgia involved in the Fogarty project were given laptops in order to promote scientific research within the project.
