Entrepreneurship Education Conference 2026

On May 9, University of Georgia hosted the Entrepreneurship Education Conference organized by Junior Achievement Georgia within the framework of the JA Europe-supported project “Supporting Entrepreneurial Education in Europe and Eurasia.” The event was held in collaboration with JA Alumni Georgia and PMI Tbilisi, Georgia Chapter.

The conference aimed to highlight the importance of entrepreneurship education and bring together educators, practitioners, partners, and young people to discuss its role in personal and professional development, as well as in the country’s economic growth.

The event featured the presentation of the new “Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship” textbook, a panel discussion on the impact of entrepreneurship education, and an overview of Junior Achievement Georgia’s ongoing programs and initiatives focused on innovation, entrepreneurial skills, financial literacy, and practical experience for youth.

The second part of the conference included the final stage of the “Student Company of the Year 2026” competition. The winning team, SaveWave, presented an innovative marine safety system designed for small watercraft. The team will represent Georgia at GEN-E 2026, Europe’s largest entrepreneurship education festival, taking place in Riga from July 7–10.

During the event, the winner of the “Entrepreneurial School of the Year 2026” award was also announced — Korbouli Public School N2. In addition, Nino Lomidze was named “Entrepreneurship Teacher of the Year 2026” for her outstanding contribution to developing entrepreneurial thinking and practical skills among young people.

The conference once again emphasized the importance of fostering entrepreneurial mindset, innovation, initiative, and practical skills among youth, while showcasing the power of collaboration between the education sector, businesses, civil society, and young people.
