On October 16, in the framework of Norwegian SIU international project, second phase of “Global Health” course has started at the School of Health Sciences and Public Health of The University of Georgia. Students and professors from the University of Tromsø – The Arctic University of Norway | UiT, University of Georgia and Tbilisi State University participated in the course. Lectures and seminars were provided by the professors Erik Eik Anda and Toralf Hasvold.
Course covered the following topics: maternal and newborn health, non-communicable diseases, global health policy, global health goals, reproductive health and family planning, regulation in migration, suicides in the indigenous groups, safe community, etc.
On October 17, course will continue at TSU and on October 18 at NCDC.
