On May 11–12, the Department of Journalism and Mass Communications at the School of Social Sciences of the University of Georgia, in collaboration with the Charter of Journalistic Ethics of Georgia, successfully held the event “Learning in Action: Student Simulation Laboratory” at the University of Georgia. The students’ work was evaluated by Maia Metskhvarishvili, representative of the Charter of Journalistic Ethics of Georgia, and Berdia Natsvlishvili, Director of PH International - Georgia.
Over the course of two days, participants engaged in an in-depth simulation exercise focused on a complex ethical dilemma. They analyzed key journalistic standards, including accuracy and verification in media reporting, the dissemination of information involving state secrets, manipulative content, and the potential consequences of ethical violations. At the conclusion of the event, the winning team was awarded, and all participants received certificates of participation.
