From 11th of June through 13th of June, School of Health Sciences of the University of Georgia hosted representatives of the Nursing School of Linnaeus University, Sweden. The aim of the visit was to assess the possibilities of UG in the field of nursing education. Guests thoroughly got familiar with the undergraduate nursing program and methods of teaching and assessment.

Within the framework of the event, short-term and long-term cooperation was agreed between the University of Georgia and Linnaeus University. Nursing Department of the University of Georgia will deliver Clinical Practice Module for Swedish students. In the long-term perspective cooperation plans include exchange of nursing academic staff and students of the Nursing School of Linnaeus University in Sweden and Nursing Department of the University of Georgia, conduction of joint researches, development of joint MA and PhD programs in Nursing, joint participation in international projects, etc.
