To the Memory of Maro Makashvili

On March 8, 2017 at the University of Georgia students’ club “UG Historians Club” (Department of History, School of Humanities, the University of Georgia) organized a special event dedicated to the memory of national hero Maro Makashvili, who died in the struggle for the impendence of Georgia in 1921.

In the context of   this event students: a) could see Gia Chubabria’s documentary film "Shadow of Pale February" dedicated to Maro Makashvili; b) two winners  of a competitive quiz got movie tickets,  and c) participated in a discussion conducted by professor Tamar Koridze (department of history).

The audience was  students and faculty  of  the School of Humanities, and the other schools of  the University of Georgia. This event was organized by the “UG Historians Club” members: Ana Nanobashvili, Tamar Inasaridze, Soso Buchukuri, Zura Tsintsadze, and Lasha Keburia.
