On June 15, the award ceremony of the Mathematics Olympiad was held at the University of Georgia. Organized for the third consecutive year, the Olympiad brought together more than 200 students from 63 schools across Tbilisi and various regions of Georgia. Students from grades 5 to 12 were eligible to participate.
During the ceremony, participants and winners were awarded diplomas of different levels by the University of Georgia. In addition, first, second, and third-place winners received commemorative and monetary prizes.
Students shared their excitement about the competition, emphasizing the valuable experience they gained and the opportunity to challenge themselves in a supportive academic environment. According to Professor Mariam Avalishvili from the School of Informatics, the Olympiad stands out for its strong focus on mathematics and its accessibility, as all participation stages were free of charge.
The Mathematics Olympiad remains an ongoing initiative, and students will once again have the opportunity to test and strengthen their skills in the upcoming academic year.
