On March 29, the School of Health Sciences and Public Health of the University of Georgia hosted the public lecture "Drugs for Women – Specific Issues of Medication Therapy in Women Population”, conducted by Head of the Pharmacy Department, Leader of Bachelor and Master Programs in Pharmacy, Prof. Elza Nikoleishvili. The lecture was attended by the students and academic faculty of the University of Georgia, as well as other universities and representatives of pharmaceutical society. During the lecture the speaker discussed such essential aspects of pharmaceutical sector, as perspectives of development the gender medicine, medication therapy during pregnancy and lactation, specific issues of medication therapy especially in a population of young women taking into consideration anatomic and physiologic characteristics of women and men in relation to diseases and medication therapy.
