As part of the collaboration between the University of Georgia and George Washington University, from April 8–12, Revaz Tabatadze, Associate Professor at the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Georgia, participated in an international symposium/conference organized by the American Educational Research Association. An individual session was dedicated to presenting the University of Georgia and its academic programs.
Revaz Tabatadze delivered a presentation at the 2026 Annual Meeting of the American Educational Research Association in Los Angeles, within the session titled: “International Perspectives on Civics and the Development of Civic Dispositions.” The visit also included the signing of memoranda of cooperation with the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education and the UCLA Department of English Language Teaching, which will further strengthen the University of Georgia’s international academic partnerships. Within this context, the university’s representative (Revaz Tabatadze) was invited to the Consulate of Azerbaijan, where future collaborations and joint projects were discussed.
It is noteworthy that the University of Georgia, in partnership with George Washington University, is already actively working on a new master’s degree program. This program represents an important step in the internationalization process of the University of Georgia, offering students the opportunity to study in two academic environments and obtain a competitive qualification that meets international standards.
As part of the visit, Revaz Tabatadze also held meetings at New Jersey State University, at the Department of Teaching, Learning, and Literacy, where, together with Michelle Rosen, plans were made for new joint research projects.
