On Thursday, 8 of December, Samshvilde Archaeological Expedition annual review conference was held in the conference hall of the University of Georgia. The director of the School of Humanities – Prof. Tinatin Gudushauri opened the conference.
2016 Archaeological Field work review was presented at the conference, the most important presentation at the conference was Neolithic-Enleolithic obsidian tool from Samshvilde settlement.
The members of the expedition also presented the results and the process of palynology, osteology researches and metal artifacts’ conservation-restoration.
The introduction of renovated electronic guide of Samshvilde settlement was of great importance as well.
The conference and the scientific research results were summed up and highly evaluated by the Academician Guram Lortkipanidze.
