On November 29, the first Scientific Picnic was held in Lanchkhuti, Guria, in partnership with the University of Georgia and Curie Laboratory.
The event served as the final activity dedicated to the presentation and awarding of scientific projects created by public school students from the Guria region. Curie Laboratory is a mobile laboratory that actively promotes science among young people through educational and entertaining activities. During the closing meeting, school students living in the Guria region presented their projects, which they had been developing collaboratively throughout the year.
The participating schools included:
Shukhuti Public School;
Khajalia Public School;
Lanchkhuti Public Schools No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3.
It is noteworthy that the students were mentored in developing their scientific projects by teachers from their own schools.
As a project partner, the University of Georgia participated in the event as an invited guest and shared detailed information with students about the scientific projects implemented at the University. Around one hundred students visited the University of Georgia’s stand, where they received promotional and informational materials. A fun quiz was also organized, and the winners were awarded commemorative gifts.
As always, the University of Georgia continues to actively advocate for educational projects across the country, which will involve many more engaging and interesting activities for young people nationwide in the future.
