On 5th of August, student of School of Science and Technology- Mariam Mtsariashvili, with the financial support of the University of Georgia, participated in Microsoft Office Specialist Championship in New York, USA. Mariam took 155th place winning place among 850 000 participants.

“For me 2019 was very successful and full of unpredictable moments. I won Microsoft Office Specialist Championship in Georgia and went to New York to represent my country at the Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship. This would have been impossible without the support of School of Science and Technology of the University of Georgia. They fully funded my journey and the participation fee too. The education that I received from the University of Georgia was enough to take the 155th winning places from 85000 participants.”- Mariam Mtsariashvili.

It should be noted that the University of Georgia gives students the opportunity to participate in different events and hackathons. Mariam had the highest rating in local Georgian Microsoft Championship and went to represent Georgia at the Microsoft Office Specialist Championship in New York, USA.
