On June 11-13, 2019, School of health Sciences and Public health of the University of Georgia hosted representatives of the Nursing School of Linnaeus University in Sweden Judy Chow and Jalal Safipour. Goal of their visit was to get acquainted with the nursing program, and assess the possibilities of the University of Georgia in the field of nursing education. Guests thoroughly got familiar with the undergraduate nursing program, and methods of teaching and assessment. They visited simulation hospital, OSCE unit, and later, collaborate clinics. At the end of three-day visit guests mentioned that they were pleasantly surprised by what they saw, and expressed desire for close cooperation. Short-term and long-term plans for future partnership have been set. In particular, it was agreed that in the short-term perspective, Nursing Department of the University of Georgia will deliver Clinical Practice Module for Swedish students. In the long-term perspective cooperation plans include exchange of nursing academic staff and students of the Nursing School of Linnaeus University in Sweden and Nursing Department of the University of Georgia, conduction of joint researches,  development of joint MA and PhD programs in Nursing, joint participation in international projects, etc.
