On June 27, the University of Georgia hosted an event marking the third anniversary of the founding of the Tamaz Beradze Institute of Georgian Studies. During the event, a comprehensive report on the institute’s activities was presented.
Under the leadership of Manana Sanadze, President of the University of Georgia, representatives from the institute’s various departments shared the outcomes of their scientific and educational work with attendees.
Department heads provided detailed presentations on their ongoing projects, highlighting the digitization of historical sources and their integration into a unified bilingual platform in both Georgian and English. These initiatives have led to the publication of new scholarly works in the fields of hagiography and history, based on modern research methodologies.
The work of the Tamaz Beradze Institute of Georgian Studies draws on both written records and material artifacts, developed in close collaboration with the University of Georgia’s Department of Archaeology.
