TOLES International Authorized Center for Legal English of the University of Georgia is pleased to announce admissions for the Legal English Foundation and Higher Certificate Courses.

The TOLES (Test of Legal English Skills) Certificate is the only internationally recognized lifetime certification for legal English proficiency, esteemed worldwide.

Established in 2000, the TOLES exam is co-owned by Cambridge Law Studio Limited and Global Legal English Limited.

Our certificate courses offer participants an opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of practical English and Latin vocabulary and phrases used in contemporary UK and US law, alongside essential grammatical elements. Graduates will be equipped to communicate effectively in legal English, both orally and in writing.

Course Details:

• Duration: 12 weeks (2 sessions per week, 2 hours per session)
• Start Date: September 30, 2024
• Location: University of Georgia, IV Building, 77a Merab Kostava Street

Instructor:

The course will be led by Tsira Chorgoliani, an international business law specialist and certified TOLES instructor with five years of experience teaching legal English and academic writing/research to undergraduate and graduate students, as well as practicing lawyers.

Course Fees:

• TOLES Foundation (A2/B1) – 550 USD (GEL equivalent)
• TOLES Higher (B1/B2) – 650 USD (GEL equivalent)

The payment can be divided into two installments.

Course Fee Includes:

• Full syllabus and course materials
• A diagnostic legal English exam to assess your proficiency level, followed by a personal consultation with the course coordinator to determine the appropriate group level
• Two mock exams to familiarize participants with the format of the international certification exam
• TOLES international certification exam fee
• Bilingual certificates of completion (in both physical and electronic forms)
• Consultations with previous TOLES graduates who hold the Lifetime Certificate
