On 27–30 November of this year, the Institute of Georgian, German, and International Criminal Law at the University of Georgia participated another academic event within the framework of the Turkish–German–Georgian Legal Dialogue. The colloquium took place in Istanbul, hosted by Bilgi University, and brought together experts from all three countries.
The project was implemented as part of the 15th International Crime and Punishment Film Festival.
The format of the Turkish-German-Georgian Criminal Law Dialogue was established in 2024 at the initiative of the Faculty of Law of Eskişehir Osmangazi University (Dr. Semi Yumak), the Institute of Georgian, German, and International Criminal Law of the University of Georgia (Prof. Bachana Jishkariani), and the Institute of Criminal Law at the University of Cologne (Prof. Martin Wasmer). Since then, several events have already been successfully held within this framework.
The colloquium was attended by the Head of the Criminal Law Department, Prof. Bachana Jishkariani and lecturer and PhD student Rati Akhalaia.
