On February 24, the University of Georgia hosted a public lecture “Neurosis, Depression, Suicide, Panic Attacks and Modern Methods of Their Management”, led by Head of Mental Health Resource Centre at Ilia State University, Director of The Foundation “Global Initiative on Psychiatry – Tbilisi”, psychiatrist, Mrs. Nino Makhashvili. The lecture was attended by the students of the University of Georgia, other universities and also representatives of health sector. The lecture was devoted to the discussion of such essential issues as types of mental disorders, depression, causes of suicide and ways of prevention, management of panic attacks, etc.
