Zhana Chikovani is an accomplished lawyer and attorney at law, specializing in common legal practices, with over a decade of experience in the field. She has been dedicated to the pursuit of justice since 2011. Zhana currently serves as the Legal Aid Center Manager at the Law School of the University of Georgia, a position she has held since 2015. She is administrative and civil law clinic guest lecturer in the University of Georgia. Zhana earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in law from Iv. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, graduating with honors. In addition to her legal studies, she also pursued a program in Mathematics and Physics at Ilia Chavchavadze Tbilisi State University, completing her studies in 2006. Her legal journey began in 2011 when she joined NGO Transparency International in Georgia. Here, Zhana provided legal aid to beneficiaries while also mentoring and training students. In 2014, she continued to make a positive impact in the legal field by becoming a trainer lawyer at Tbilisians' Lawyer. Her responsibilities included offering legal assistance to beneficiaries and training students. Zhana's passion for education led her to become a guest lecturer at the Tbilisi State University Faculty of Law in 2015-2016, where she shared her extensive knowledge at the master's degree level. Since 2017, she has continued her academic contributions as a guest lecturer at the University of Georgia School of Law, participating in the lectures program of the Civil and Administrative Law Legal Clinic. Zhana Chikovani was selected by the Association of Arbitrators as a researcher focused on ethical norm violations by Arbitrators in 2020. She is an experienced mentor lawyer with a background in handling cases involving minors. The Legal Aid Center is a member of the Network of Legal Aid Providers since 2017.
