Prof. Saeid Sahmani, head of the Civil Engineering Department, has been ranked as the second place among all scientists of Georgia in the field of Engineering and Technology.

According to the website of AD Scientific Index, Prof. Saeid Sahmani, head of the Civil Engineering Department in the School of Science and Technology, has been ranked second among Georgian scientists in the field of Engineering and Technology. The AD Scientific Index (Alper-Doger Scientific Index) is a ranking and analysis system based on the scientific performance and the added value of the scientific productivity of individual scientists, unlike other systems that evaluate journals and universities. This new index has been developed since 2021 using the total and last 6 years' values of the i10 index, h-index, and citation scores in Google Scholar. Using a total of nine parameters, the "AD Scientific Index" shows the ranking of scientists in 12 subjects (Agriculture & Forestry, Arts, Design & Architecture, Business & Management, Economics & Econometrics, Education, Engineering & Technology, History, Philosophy, Theology, Law, Medical & Health Sciences, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences and Other), 256 fields, 23,200 institutions, 219 countries, 10 regions (Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, Oceania, Arab League, EECA, BRICS, Latin America and COMESA) and in the world.
