Academic position of an Associate Professor in international economic criminal law and comparative criminal law (1 vacancy).

  1. The identification of the successful candidate will be carried out as follows:

 

  1. Main criteria are:

 

2.1. Academic degree of a doctor.

2.2. Scientific-pedagogical experience. Professors must have at least 6 years of scientific-pedagogical work experience, while associate professors must have at least 3 years of scientific-pedagogical work experience.

2.3. Scientific papers published in the last 5 years. Preference will be given to authors of publications in Scopus journals.

2.4. Ability to conduct lectures in English.

 

Additional criteria include:

 

2.5. Syllabi assessed for content adequacy, learning outcomes, and methods of achieving them.

2.6. Vision of research activities within the University of Georgia.

2.7. Participation in conferences/seminars over the last 5 years.

2.8. Participation in professional development events.

2.9. Ability to use office technologies.

 

  1. The documents to be presented include:

 

3.1. Application form indicating the applied vacancy (according to the attached form).

3.2. University of Georgia application form filled out in Georgian and English languages (according to the attached form).

3.3. Copy of identity card.

3.4. Copy of the document confirming the academic degree (Bachelor's, Master's, Doctor's, or equivalent). Foreign or non-Georgian language diplomas must be translated into Georgian and recognized by the National Center for Education Quality Development (https://eqe.ge/geo/static/213), with notarized translations.

3.5. Notice of pedagogical-scientific experience.

3.6. State certificate of independent medical practice (only for clinical positions).

3.7. List of published works and copies (a complete list of published works is presented, along with a copy of any publication selected by the candidate).

3.8. English language certificate (if applicable).

3.9. Vision of research activities within the University of Georgia (according to the attached form).

3.10. Syllabus.

3.11. Any other information you believe is important to support your candidacy for the relevant position.

 

  1. At the request of the competition commission, the candidate may be asked to conduct a demo lecture.
  2. The winner of the competition must be affiliated with the University of Georgia. The Google Scholar profile should be verified with the name of the University of Georgia and the official (@ug.edu.ge) email address of the University of Georgia.
  3. Competition documents should be submitted by December 18, 2023, in electronic form to academicvacancy@ug.edu.ge or in physical form at the following address: Kostava St., Tbilisi, #77a, 4th building, room #514a, 0171. The candidacy will be evaluated only when all required documents are submitted completely.
  4. The competition will be held on December 19, 2023.
  5. The decision of the competition commission can be appealed to the appeal commission. December 20, 2023, is the deadline for receiving complaints and claims.
  6. The list of competition winners will be published on December 22, 2023, on the University of Georgia's website at www.ug.edu.ge.
