The School of Law of the University of Georgia was established in 2005 and is the largest private law school in Georgia (2ndlargest law school overall) with approximately 1,500 students. The School of Law offers Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D. programs in Law.

The School of Law is exceptional with its innovative approaches, programs suited to modern challenges and strong professionalism of lecturers. The educational process is fully focused in developing practical skills and forming competitive specialists.

The School of Law is very active in both national and international competitions. We have launched the International Business Law (IBL) program, a new master’s program taught entirely in English. The program is open to both Georgian and international students and is the first of its kind in Georgia.

The School of Law is also home to the TOLES Legal English Centre Georgia. The Test of Legal English Skills (TOLES) is an international exam, based in the UK, which assesses a legal practitioner’s knowledge of practical English language skills. UG is the only TOLES test center in the Caucasus region. Legal English is a compulsory part of the School of Law’s curriculum.

We believe that our students will always follow our motto: “For Law and Liberty”.
