Continuous professional development
The Quality Assurance Office of Georgia constantly takes care of the development of academic staff. To ensure this goal, trainings are periodically held where the academic staff is informed about the modern achievements and teaching methods used in teaching.
The university started working on student-oriented education methods within the Erasmus project STAR. After the completion of the project, the university successfully continues teaching in the form of trainings.
The academic staff of each school is trained in student-centered teaching methods. In the future, it is planned to offer the service to interested persons as well.
The Quality Assurance O)ffice organizes training for invited and academic staff on a regular basis, where they teach about the use of the plagiarism program "Turnitin". As part of the training, the staff is provided with detailed information about the functions of the respective platform, how the staff should use it to check the work, and what further steps should be taken if inaccuracies or plagiarism are detected.
The university has created a registration guide on Turnitin for both staff and students.

Despite the fact that the University of Georgia has developed programs and syllabi based on both internal and external assessment mechanisms, activities for interested parties around the programs and syllabi are constantly being carried out. This activity is carried out for the practical reason that programs and syllabi undergo both content and technical modification in time and space, based on evaluations, analysis and relevance. That is why the quality assurance office uses the online platforms of ONLINE UG and MY UG, as well as direct meetings in the form of trainings where we share experiences with each other.
