According to the ELSEVIER Digital Commons Data website, Prof. Saeid Sahmani, a UG faculty member in the School of Science and Technology was ranked among the top 2% highly cited researchers in the world (https://elsevier.digitalcommonsdata.com/datasets/btchxktzyw/6)  

In accordance with the Google Scholar website, Prof. Saeid Sahmani has published about 210 journal articles with an h-index of 66 having more than 10410 citations which result in meeting the necessary requirements to enter the list of 2% of the world’s top scientists in 2023. 

It is worth mentioning that the data used in the analysis for the selection of the top 2% researchers have been performed by Elsevier BV based on a publicly available database of over 100,000 top scientists that provides standardized information on citations, h-index, co-authorship adjusted hm-index, citations to papers in different authorship positions and a composite indicator. This work uses Scopus data provided by Elsevier through ICSR Lab (https://www.elsevier.com/icsr/icsrlab).
